luxosophy

Jamie’s exploration of digital photography began with two-second time-lapse captures on a (relatively) cheap Canon Digital Elph point & shoot camera (posted as light.play). On a rare free weekend in 2007, Jamie stole away to Ocean Beach in San Francisco with a Nikon D50, and began snapping exposures.  A very cold hour learning exposure levels and white balance through trial and error yielded the first SLR photos of luxosophy (portent, dichotomy, introspection, and reverie).

Since that day, Jamie’s portfolio has expanded to include numerous other subjects, including studies in hue and contrast (kargiosis), black & white (b/w), and high-dynamic range photography (hdr).

Based in Los Altos, California, most of Jamie’s photography explores the natural landscape and wildlife of California.  In his free time, Jamie is an attorney.
